Gaskets Products

ALMA Engineering Solution offers high-performance gasket solutions designed for reliable sealing in the most demanding industrial environments. The product line includes spiral wound gaskets, ring-type joint (RTJ) gaskets, PTFE and graphite gaskets, non-asbestos and metal jacketed types, rubber and elastomeric seals, flange insulation kits, and custom die-cut gaskets. Engineered for durability under extreme pressure and temperature, each product meets strict industry standards for performance and safety. ALMA Engineering Solution supports a wide range of sectors including oil and gas, petrochemicals, power generation, marine, water treatment, and general engineering.

Ring Joint Gaskets (RTJ)

Ring type joint gasket (rtj gasket) is a high integrity sealing gasket, high temperature and high pressure gasket for applications in petroleum industry, oilfield drilling, pressure vessels joints, pipes and valves etc.

Ring joint gaskets (rtj gasket) according to api 6a and asme b16.20 for numerous industrial applications based on the customer required specifications with corrosive protection using electroplated zinc or alternate material coating of up to 0.0003” thickness.
Type r, rx, bx ring joint gaskets (rtj gasket) in api 6a, asme b16.20 gasket standards for api 6b, asme b16.5 and api 6bx flanges respectively.

Types r, rx operates in 6250 psi/ 5000 psi with oval or octagonal gasket orientation and interchangeability.
• Type r oval
• Type bx
• Type rx

Type BX operates in 20,000 psi with non-interchangeability. Type BX has a pressure passage hole for pressure equalization on each sealing face sides.

Spiral Wound Gaskets (SPW Gaskets)

Spiral wound gaskets (SPW Gaskets) by spirally winding a preformed metal strip and filler on the outer periphery of metal winding mandrels whose outside diameter form the inner diameter of the gasket and superposed metal and non-metallic windings are continually wound until the required outer diameter is attained.

Compatible with the flange closure in which it is to be used, spiral wound gaskets (SPW Gaskets) can be used over the complete temperature range from cryogenic to approximately 2000°F and in all pressures from vacuum to the standard 2500 psi flange ratings making it a high pressure and high temperature gasket. They are more resilient than any other type of metallic gasket with higher flexibility and recovery characteristics to maintain a seal under variable working conditions.

Soft Cut Gasket

Soft Gasket is a term used when referring to a gasket that is easily compressed under a low bolt load. Soft gaskets are used as heat exchanger gaskets, compressor and bonnet valve gaskets and in pipe flange applications etc.

AES offers varieties of cut shape / gasket material in sheets / rolls out of the following soft gasket materials:

  • PTFE Sheet
  • Flexible Graphite Sheet
  • Rubber of all grades, Cloth Inserted Rubber & Metal Inserted Rubber Gaskets.
  • Ceramic Fiber / Glass Fibre
  • PTFE Envelope Gaskets
  • Vegetable Fiber Sheet
  • Asbestos & Non-Asbestos Sheet

Compressed Non-Asbestos Fiber Gaskets are circle cut or die cut gaskets from compressed non asbestos jointing, manufactured from carefully picked fiber intimately blended with suitable heat-resistant binders and vulcanized into sheets of homogenous compositions and uniform thickness.

Metal Reinforced Gasket

Laminated gasket with a metal core, covered using soft conformable sealing materials on each face of the core is a metal reinforced gasket falling in the range of up to pressure class 300. The solid metal core prevents gasket blowout by providing high strength and rigidity while the soft-core accounts for exceptional gasket sealing.

Metal reinforced gasket application in chemical and petroleum industries being a high temperature gasket, offering corrosion resistance and high integral jointing.

• Metal reinforced gasket- full face type
• Metal reinforced gasket- raised face type

Non-metallic flat gaskets

Non-metallic flat gaskets from arimid fiber, glass fiber, elastomer, Teflon (PTFE), graphite etc. according to ASME B16.21 which covers types, sizes, materials, dimensions, dimensional tolerances, and markings for non-metallic flat gaskets.

Metal Jacketed Gaskets

A gasket with a metallic outer shell and either a metallic or non-metallic compressed fiber filler is Metal Jacketed Gasket where the filler material offers resilience and metal jacket protects the filler and resists pressure, temperature and corrosion.

Metal jacketed gaskets are used as heat exchanger gaskets and also in pumps, valves etc despite of their limited recovery and resilience property. Gasket sealing is effective under high bolt loads, smooth flange surface finish and flange flatness.
